Dear Friend,
Today marks the 248th anniversary of the United States Navy.
To any who served in the Navy during Vietnam, or at any other point in our nation’s history, please accept my gratitude for your service.
The Navy was key to stopping the North Vietnamese from supplying their guerilla fighters in the south. They also reigned fire down on Hanoi and other strategic targets in North Vietnam, which disrupted the communist’s efforts in the war.
We also pay homage to the Navy POWs who were shot down during these raids and endured years of unspeakable suffering at the hands of their captors.
Please take a moment to watch this video in honor of the U.S. Navy so you can appreciate the service that the men and women of this courageous branch of the Armed Forces rendered during the Vietnam War.
And after you‘ve watched this video, please consider chipping in to help us build Phase II of The National Vietnam War Museum.
Sincerely,
John Hyatt
